Pakistan Offers Nuclear Power Reactor to Bangladesh

Pakistan has offered to help setup nuclear power reactor in Bangladesh after International Atomic Energy Agency gave green signal to Bangladesh to use nuclear energy for civlian use according to report in The Times of India. China and Russia have also offered the nuclear power reactor to Bangladesh to deal with the dire energy crisis.
Speaking to media, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Alamgir Babar said the offer has been made in goodwill and his country is waiting for a response from Bangladesh. “We have a programme for nuclear energy. We are going ahead with that. It is up to Bangladesh to decide what they want,” he said.
The idea for porposed power plant was conceived while Bangladesh was still part of Pakistan before separating in 1971.

All the Muslim countries should co-operate with each other in all kind of technologies as the other countries do. Nuclear technology for power generation should be used by as many countries as possible to ease burdon on the fossil fuels for power generation. Bangladesh should accept Pakistan offer.
