Murderer Father should get Maximum Sentence

13 December 2007 5 Comments

Aqsa PervezA very tragic death of a 16 year old Aqsa Parvez in Canada by her father Muhammad Parvez has left most of us wondering why it could not been avoided?  The press and media is depicting it as the ‘honour killing’ and ‘not wearing hijjab’ is highlighted as the prime motive behind this gruesome murder.  The father and Aqsa’s older brother Waqas Parvez are now behind the bar since December 11, 2007 and will face trial in due course of time.

There is nothing to defend such a brutal killing of human being in Islam.  I beleive there is nothing in Quran and Prophet Muhammad’s entire life which will remotely suggest such act as legitimate or ‘allowed’.  However, looking at the discussion boards and other sources, majority of the comments have suggested that Islam is the cause and this isolated incident is blown way out of proportionality.  People who don’t even know a single muslim in their own lives have labeled all the muslims brutal, and savages. However, if they simply ask a question by themselves, how many such incidents occured during the last one month where a muslim was involved in killing and how many killers were non-muslims?  Does that kind of behavour not extermism as well? Why is it different from any other incidents of domestic voilance across the country?

I my opinion, the killing of any human being regardless of the religion is a highly condemnable act and should not be tolerated in any case. The culprit should be punished with maximum sentence and so should Parvez should also be.

these animals are committing these crimes for whatever the reason and should be punished. However, why blame all other muslims for these crimes as well just for being muslims. Does anybody blame all christain or jewish americans for killing by one of them?

She should have listened to her father and wear moderate clothing. I dont know (in fact no one knows) what the actual reason behind the killing was, but she must have done something to annoy the father to that extent that he decided to kill her.

It is sad thing no matter what caused it.

Mobin I don’t think that she is to be blamed for it. We can say both are responssible for what happened. Tolerence and patience are becoming things of past in our lives which is very unfortunate.

Exactly…. what ever the reasons were no one has a right of taking someone elses life…
if it was a big problem do not kill each other just try to solve the conflict……….

but i think the reason the girl got killed by her dad was because she must of drank, taken drugs, or lost her vergionity…. cuz in islam doing those kind of stuff is haram!!! but still her dad should have never killed her cuz thats also haram!!!!
